The Greatest Thing Since Sliced Bread

Liberty Christine was born on Monday, July 7th!

Her entrance into the world...

Weight: 8 pounds 14 ounces
Length: 21 3/4 inches (We say 22 inches!)
Head: 14 inches

This Day in History
Today is Monday, July 7, the 189th day of 2008. There are 177 days left in the year.

Chocolate Day-Commemorating the introduction of chocolate in Europe in 1550.
In 1928 - Sliced bread is sold for the first time by the Chillicothe Baking Company of Chillicothe, Missouri. It is described as “the greatest forward step in the baking industry since bread was wrapped".
In 1930, construction began on Boulder Dam (later Hoover Dam).
In 1958, President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed the Alaska Statehood Act into United States law

We agree that Liberty is the greatest thing since sliced bread (90 years ago to the day). So far she has a delightful temperament and likes to eat, sleep and make messy diapers. We are so grateful for her smooth entrance into the world and know we were blessed because of your (family and friends) prayers and watchful care of our family. We are ever appreciative of your thoughts, prayers, words and deeds!

Hopefully more news to come!! The adrenalin is sure to wear off soon and then the zombie stage will hit! We like to refer to it as the "shock and awe" stage!

Thanks again!!

Congrats! She is beautiful! What a great post. I think I should have waited till the meds weren't in control before posting Mekayla's birth announcement. Somehow, yours seems much more eloquent. :)
I wish we were closer so we could meet all the new family and share in the great adventures we are both on. Hope the transition is going well for you and the fam. Take care and know that we love and miss you guys.
